Gamification as a Strategy to Promote Writing: Analysis of an Experience

The purpose of this document is to recognize the impact that gamification has on students' writing acquisition, as well as to acknowledge that writing skills develop simultaneously with the reading process and that, therefore, one affects the other. That is, all strategies applied to promote reading or writing will equally impact the other skill. The analysis was carried out through theoretical contrast and the experience gained in educational processes during teaching in different educational settings where work experience has been gained. As final considerations, it is imperative to recognize gamification as a strategy that, combined with technologies, thus increasing the ability to express ideas and thoughts effectively through written language.
