The influence of eating habits among fourth and fifth grade elementary school children at the Camilo Daza School in the city of Cúcuta, Colombia. The objectives set determined the causes of the children's eating habits and revealed the reasons that motivate students to eat junk food or food with low nutritional content. It can be demonstrated that, in a marginal urban context, with economic deprivation and social violence, different life strategies are developed, supported by models and theoretical contributions, to address the need for a good school education and the importance of dietary guidance, both at home and at school.
