Diversidad genética en cepas de escherichia coli productora de toxina shiga aisladas a partir de carne molida de origen bovino

El principal reservorio del patotipo de Escherichia coli Productor de Toxina Shiga es el ganado bovino, convirtiendo a la carne en un importante vehículo de su transmisión al hombre. Con el fin de realizar la caracterización de cepas de Escherichia coli Productora de Toxina Shiga aisladas a partir de muestras de este alimento, se efectuó la clasificación filogenética de las cepas, obteniendo que pertenecían al grupo E; mediante la técnica REP-PCR se detectó un patrón clonal heterogéneo; la técnica de MLST, por su parte, identificó nuevas Secuencias Tipo para cada cepa analizada. No se encontró asociación entre las características de las muestras de carne y las cepas analizadas.
