Abstract

This article compiled scientific information from the year 1970 to 2020, aiming to systematize and analyze relevant information on the influence of family psychological factors on purchasing and consumption behaviors in children and adolescents. The methodology of this research employed a qualitative approach with exploratory and descriptive scope. 68 articles were selected and classified into 6 dimensions as units of analysis: family control, emotions, communication, family culture, level of influence, and social relationships. As a final result, a compendium of information was achieved, which may be relevant for authors wishing to delve into areas related to adolescent consumption, family influence on consumption, and consumption habits.
