Focus and Scope
@Limentech Journal of Food Science and Technology aims to disseminate high-impact research in the field of food technologies, covering a wide range of disciplines such as Innovation and Technology in the Food Industry, Food Safety and Quality, Biotechnology and Applied Microbiology in Food, Sustainability and Circular Economy in Food Production, Food Engineering and Processing, Packaging and Preservation Material Science, Artificial Intelligence and Automation in the Food Industry, Nutrition and Public Health, and Food Sector Regulations and Standards. Its purpose is to contribute to academic development and serve as a reference channel for scientific knowledge exchange and development, promoting advances in food engineering and technology.
Published semiannually and with both national and international coverage, the journal provides a platform for knowledge exchange among academics and researchers from diverse contexts and sectors. Its mission is to disseminate technological advances and foster inter-institutional collaboration, attracting contributions from researchers affiliated with academia and industry worldwide. In addition to original research articles, the journal also publishes review articles that examine the state of the art, identify emerging trends, and suggest future directions in developing areas. Manuscripts must be products of research, review, or reflection, and must be submitted in both Spanish and English for peer review. The journal is managed by the Vice-Rectorate for Research at the University of Pamplona, aiming to establish it as a publication of scientific excellence, supported by an editorial board composed of nationally and internationally renowned experts, reaffirming its commitment to making a significant impact in the academic community.

Submission and Publication Fees. Free of Charge
@Limentech Journal of Food Science and Technology is an Open Access publication that does not charge any fees for the peer-review and publication process, including review, layout, printing, and distribution (APCs). As an open access journal, there are no fees for reading or downloading the journal either.
Anti-Plagiarism Policy
Using Turnitin software, licensed by the University of Pamplona, @Limentech Journal of Food Science and Technology analyzes manuscripts for plagiarism and self-plagiarism to ensure originality. The editor registers the author's document in this online software.
Digital Preservation Policy and Use of Persistent Identifiers
@Limentech Journal of Food Science and Technology ensures the digital preservation of its contents through the effective use of Open Journal Systems (OJS). All articles published in the journal are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), a persistent identifier managed by Crossref, which ensures long-term accessibility and traceability.
Additionally, the journal is part of the PKP Preservation Network, where its contents are securely stored in the LOCKSS system developed by Stanford University Library. This digital preservation infrastructure ensures a permanent and reliable archive for the journal, protecting access to information against potential digital loss or deterioration.
The @LIMENTECH scientific journal is indexed by PUBLINDEX, the Colombian National Indexing and Certification System for Specialized CT+I Journals. Category C (2022).
