Author guidelines
The journal @Limentech Food Science and Technology is a biannual scientific publication devoted to research and development in the field of food science and technology. It is addressed to researchers, academics, and professionals in the agri-food sector interested in innovation, sustainability, food quality, and food safety. The journal publishes original scientific and technological research articles, short communications, and thematic review articles. The journal follows the APA style guidelines for publications.

Manuscript Submission Guidelines
Before submitting a manuscript, authors must ensure that the content aligns with the journal’s thematic areas. The manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under evaluation by another journal. Only manuscripts submitted in DOC format are accepted.

Step 1: Manuscript Preparation
- The manuscript must be prepared using the official journal template.
- The content must strictly comply with the current APA style guidelines.
Step 2: Author Information
- The manuscript submission must be accompanied by a cover letter signed by all authors.
- The letter must indicate the manuscript title, article type, and declare that the content is original and unpublished.
- Each author must complete their personal information: first and last names, nationality, country, type of identification document, institutional affiliation, academic degree, phone or mobile number, email address (institutional and/or personal), and ORCID link.
Step 3: Copyright and Publication License Declaration
- Submit the copyright transfer agreement signed by all authors in digital format.
If the manuscript includes figures and tables, these must be submitted in a compressed file (RAR or ZIP), with adequate resolution and clearly labeled according to their order of appearance (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1). This procedure streamlines the editorial process and ensures proper visual reproduction.
Citations and references must be managed using a reference manager such as Mendeley or Zotero, or by using Word’s reference tool. Additionally, a references file in BibTeX format or another compatible format must be attached.
The journal uses Turnitin to verify manuscript originality. The similarity index must be below 17%.
- Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be subject to detailed review by the editorial committee.
Manuscripts must be submitted through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform after completing the corresponding registration. Alternatively, manuscripts may be submitted via email to: revista.alimentech@unipamplona.edu.co.
The editorial committee will contact the authors to inform them of the manuscript status and the reviewers’ comments during the evaluation process.
