Instructions for Manuscript Submission
Before submitting a manuscript, authors must ensure that its content aligns with the thematic areas of the journal. The article must be original, unpublished, and not under review by any other journal. Only articles in DOC and PDF formats are accepted.

Step 1: Manuscript Preparation
Authors must use the official journal format for drafting the manuscript. The manuscript must be submitted in both Spanish and English to facilitate the review and publication process.
Step 2: Cover Letter
The manuscript submission must be accompanied by a cover letter, signed by all authors. In the letter, authors should indicate the title of the manuscript, the type of article, and declare that the content is original and has not been previously published. Authors should also complete personal information for each author, including names, surnames, nationality, country, ID type, institutional affiliation, educational level, phone/cell number, email address (institutional and/or personal), and ORCID link.
Step 3: Copyright Transfer Letter
Send the signed copyright transfer letter from all authors in digital format.
If your manuscript includes images and tables, they must be attached separately in a compressed file (RAR or ZIP). Ensure that the images and tables have an adequate resolution for quality reproduction. Also, name them according to their order of appearance (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1). This procedure will speed up the editorial process and ensure optimal visual presentation in the final publication.
Authors are asked to manage citations and references using a bibliographic manager, such as Mendeley or Zotero, or using the Word reference tool. Additionally, a file with references in BibTeX format or another compatible format with the mentioned bibliographic managers must be provided. This will allow for a more rigorous literature review and facilitate the proper management and verification of sources.
The @Limentech Ciencia y Tecnología Alimentaria Journal uses Turnitin to check manuscript similarity to ensure originality and academic integrity. Authors must ensure that their work meets the established criteria, maintaining similarity below 17%. It is essential to thoroughly review the manuscript before submitting it to avoid unwanted similarities and ensure proper use of citations and bibliographic references. Authors are advised to use text verification tools for a preliminary review. During the editorial process, Turnitin reports will be evaluated, and manuscripts with more than 17% similarity will be carefully reviewed.
