Ethics and Misconduct Statement for @Limentech Ciencia y Tecnología Alimentaria

Section I: Publication

By submitting an article to @Limentech Ciencia y Tecnología Alimentaria, the author accepts this publication and negligence ethics statement. All articles are subject to a peer review process by at least two international reviewers who are experts in the field of the submitted document. The criteria considered during the review process include quality, relevance, originality, innovation, significance, and language. The possible decisions made by the @Limentech Editorial Board are acceptance, acceptance with modifications, or rejection. There is no guarantee that a reviewed article will be accepted. Articles will not be rejected without review.

Section II: Authorship

All articles submitted to @Limentech Ciencia y Tecnología Alimentaria must have a relevant list of references. The author must acknowledge any financial support obtained from institutions for conducting the research. The titles of all articles must be original. Plagiarism in any form and fraudulent data are not acceptable.@Limentech will not publish articles with identical material from other journals.

Section III: Authors' Responsibilities

Authors must ensure that:

  • Their articles are original;
  • Their works have not been previously published elsewhere;
  • All sources used in the creation of their works are properly identified;
  • All data in the documents are real and authentic;
  • All authors (in the case of co-authorship) have made significant contributions to the research.

Authors are also obligated to:

  • Participate in the peer review process;
  • Provide retractions or corrections for errors;
  • Report any mistakes they discover in their published articles.

    Authors must notify the editors of any conflicts of interest.

Section IV: Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviews must be conducted objectively, fairly, and without personal criticism of the author. Comments on manuscripts must be handled confidentially. Reviewers must:

  • Be academically qualified to review the manuscript;
  • Have no conflicts of interest with respect to the research, any author, the research sponsor, company, or institution;
  • Express their views clearly and provide supporting arguments;
  • Identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and/or any substantial similarity between the manuscript under consideration and other published documents.

Section V: Responsibilities of Editors

Editors have full responsibility and authority to accept or reject a manuscript. They are responsible for the content and overall quality of the publication. Editors must:

  • Have no conflicts of interest with respect to the manuscripts they accept or reject;
  • Ensure the quality of published works;
  • Accept manuscripts only when they are reasonably confident of their quality;
  • Preserve the anonymity of contributors;
  • Ensure that all published materials comply with internationally accepted ethical guidelines;
  • Promote the publication of corrections or retractions when errors are identified.

The Editor-in-Chief of @Limentech has the authority to make the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of a submitted manuscript after reviewing the reviewers’ comments and consulting with other members of the Editorial Board when appropriate. The Editor-in-Chief must not be biased against authors and must have no conflicts of interest with respect to the manuscripts under review.

Section VI: Publication Ethics

The Editor-in-Chief, members of the Editorial Board, and members of the International Advisory Board of @Limentech commit to:

  • Safeguard publication ethics;
  • Maintain high intellectual and scientific standards, free from the influence of revenue or commercial interests;
  • Protect and strengthen the peer review process;
  • Publish corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies when necessary;
  • Work closely with other editors;
  • Ensure that plagiarism and fraudulent data are not tolerated.
