Abstract

The department of Chocó is located in a region rich in landscapes and biodiversity, but even so, this territory faces problems of poverty and lack of opportunities that negatively affect the development and quality of life of its inhabitants. Nevertheless, ecotourism is seen as an opportunity to boost the department's economy, taking advantage of its natural wealth and cultural heritage. Although some institutions have made efforts to identify the factors that can be used to establish a value offer consistent with the expectations of a more environmentally conscious consumer, there are still aspects that need to be addressed, such as the conditions for developing an effective marketing strategy to position Chocó as a benchmark for green tourism activities. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to examine relevant elements of textual content that can be used in the development of a concept of ecotourism in Chocó. To this end, we start with the construction of a frame of reference, and then carry out an analysis of word frequency and relationship networks, which can be used in the construction of a concept for the positioning of the tourism value offer of Chocó in social networks. This is carried out using textual analysis and network analysis tools.
