INTRODUCTION: The purpose of this study was to analyze the psychometric properties of a scale that measures the components that influence the perception of sex education in adolescents. It was developed using a quantitative methodology, and psychometric and statistical methods were used to calculate the characteristics of the instrument and its corresponding adaptations in context. Due to the limited number of persons, 103, it was decided to carry out a population census. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to evaluate reliability, in addition to the Spearman-Brown correlation to estimate internal consistency, and finally, the factorial structure was verified using principal component analysis with rotated factors (VARIMAX). In conclusion, it can be affirmed that the instrument complies with the metric properties described above.
