Manuscript submission instructions

Before submitting your manuscript, it is essential that authors thoroughly review whether the content of your article is aligned with the subject areas and editorial orientation of the journal. In addition, please ensure that the manuscript is original and unpublished, i.e., it has not been previously published and is not under simultaneous consideration by another journal or publisher.

Step 1: Manuscript Preparation
- Authors interested in submitting their papers should use the formats provided by the journal.
- The manuscript should be submitted in both Spanish and English to facilitate the review and publication process.

Step 2: Author Information
- In the format for authors, complete the personal information fields for each author: first name, last name, nationality, country of birth, date of birth, ID number and type, institutional affiliation, education level, telephone/cell phone, e-mail (institutional and/or personal) and ORCID link.
- It is essential to complete this information for each author of the scientific paper. If you do not have an ORCID profile, you are encouraged to generate one.
- Provide detailed information about the associated research using the specific format. Include fields such as project name, objective, abstract, project type, start and end dates, justification, description of needs, impact, goals, duration, total project value and total executed value of the project.

Step 3: Letter of License and Conflict of Interest Statement
- Submit the license letter and conflict of interest statement signed by all authors in digital format.

If your manuscript includes tables or figures, these should be attached separately in a compressed file in RAR format. Make sure that the images and tables retain optimal resolution, which will ensure high quality reproduction in the final publication. It is important to name them according to their order of appearance in the text (e.g. Figure 1, Table 1), which will facilitate the editorial process and contribute to a consistent and professional visual presentation.

Citations and references should be elaborated using a bibliographic manager or Word's reference tool, following the APA style. This allows a more accurate bibliographic review and facilitates the management, verification and traceability of the sources used.

The Humanities, Technology and Education Journal (HUTECEDU) uses Turnitin software to verify the similarity of manuscripts, promoting originality and academic integrity. Authors must ensure that their texts meet the established criteria, maintaining a similarity index of less than 17%. Before submitting the manuscript, it is essential to perform a thorough review to detect and correct undesired similarities, as well as to ensure the proper use of citations and references. It is recommended to use similarity detection tools as part of this preliminary review. During the editorial process, Turnitin reports will be analyzed and manuscripts that exceed 17% similarity will be further evaluated.

The submission of the article can be done through the Open Journal System platform, after registering in the system. It is also accepted to send directly to the e-mail address: revista.humanidades@unipamplona.edu.co.

The Editorial Committee will be responsible for notifying the author of the status of the manuscript, as well as the observations made by the group of reviewers, depending on its possible publication.
