Short marketing circuits as a strategy for strengthening the agricultural and livestock sector

Short marketing circuits have gained special relevance in recent decades due to their influence on local development. Their essence lies in the minimization of intermediaries between producer and consumer. From an economic perspective, they represent a transforming proposal at several levels, contributing to local economic resilience. The research paradigm is qualitative, with a descriptive approach based on a literature review as the fundamental empirical method. The literature review was developed in the Scopus database, with the objective of analyzing short marketing circuits as dynamizing tools of the economy, during the period 2019 - 2023. The revitalization and strength of a local economy, particularly in predominantly agrarian areas, is a fundamental pillar for the welfare of its inhabitants and the sustainability of its productive model, in this sense, a strategy that has proven to be effective are short marketing circuits. Short marketing circuits are not only a sales strategy, but also a driver of local economic development. By promoting direct transactions, resources circulate within the community, boosting the prosperity of producers, employment generation and reinvestment.
