Abstract
This book from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) constitutes a valuable contribution to the topic of poverty eradication, as it presents the results of a strategic study on the role of the FAO in effectively assisting member states of the United Nations (UN) in achieving one of their Sustainable Development Goals, specifically the first goal: “Eradicate poverty.” This objective is the most ambitious of all, aiming to raise the standard of living for every individual and make poverty a thing of the past.
