Club root is the most important disease of crucifers all over the world and also in Colombia. The present investigation aimed to compare the efficacy of three commercial antagonist products to bases of Trichoderma harzianum, Bacillus subtilis and Burkholderia cepacia for the control of Plasmodiophora brassicae under laboratory conditions. To obtain an inoculum of the phytopathogenic protozoan, 10 g of broccoli roots with typical hernia symptoms were taken, which were chopped into 2 cm2 pieces, crushed in a blender for one minute with 200 mL of distilled water and subsequently filtered with sterile gauze. Two concentrations (1/10 and 1/100 dilutions) were tested against the pathogen, comparing the result against the suspension of cysts from a control without treatment. Facing effects were compared in Petri dishes in a completely randomized 7x4 design. The evaluations were carried out at three and seven days. The application of the commercial biological based on T. harzianum under controlled laboratory conditions demonstrated the biocontroller potential of the antagonist against the inactive cysts of P. bsassicae at both three and seven days, which makes it a good candidate for the control of club root under field conditions due to its in vitro effect. B. cepacia and B. subtilis showed certain effects at three and seven days respectively, for which investigations should be continued.
