Education for Harmonious Coexistence in the Ecuadorian School

The present research is intended to describe the characteristics of education that promote harmonious coexistence in Ecuadorian schools; a qualitative, documentary and descriptive research approach was used. It was possible to identify that among the main characteristics of education that promote harmonious coexistence within the Ecuadorian school are educational aspects, such as inclusive and collaborative school management, a flexible and contextualized curriculum, active and committed participation of the educational community. . Furthermore, pedagogical approaches and strategies are other aspects that promote harmonious coexistence, thus developing various types of them aimed at fulfilling this specific purpose. Finally, the different socializing agents of education are also crucial when promoting a peaceful environment, the most important being the family, school and society.
