Introduction: To characterize the effects of aging on orofacial motor (OM) skills in an elderly population using the MBGR protocol. Methods: Ten women with an average age of 70.7 years, without psychiatric disorders, history of stroke, or neurodegenerative diseases, participated in the study. The MBGR protocol was applied to them. Results: Deviations in head and shoulder posture were found in 50% of the population. At the orofacial anthropometric level, alterations in the lower third were found in 100% of the population. The most affected orofacial functions were mastication and swallowing. Analysis: The findings of alterations in anthropometric measurements for the lower third are consistent with bone resorption in the mandible, as well as with the temporomandibular joint alterations described during this period of life. These structural conditions explain the adaptations in masticatory function and the swallowing disorders observed. Conclusions: BM alterations in the population are related to the processes of bone resorption of the jaw.
