Abstract

Volume 16, Issue 2 (2025) of the Environmental Water, Air and Soil Journal aims to disseminate scientific knowledge in the environmental field through research focused on water, air, and soil, promoting the exchange of experiences and the design of collaborative action strategies oriented toward sustainability. This edition addresses priority environmental challenges through studies on climate projection, water quality assessment in urban micro-watersheds, the application of data science and image processing techniques in agriculture, and comparative analyses of composting systems. The published works provide relevant evidence for environmental planning, natural resource management, the strengthening of agroecological practices, and the promotion of the circular economy. Furthermore, the volume highlights the value of interdisciplinary research and methodological rigor as fundamental pillars for advancing environmental knowledge within the Colombian context, while acknowledging the contributions of authors and reviewers to the consolidation of this issue.
