Digital Preservation Policy
Revista Ciencia y Tecnología Agropecuaria (CYTA) is committed to ensuring the long-term digital preservation of its content. The following measures are implemented:
Use of Open Journal Systems (OJS): CYTA utilizes OJS to efficiently manage its publications and ensure the digital preservation of its content.
Assignment of Digital Object Identifier (DOI): Each article published in CYTA is assigned a DOI, providing a persistent identifier managed by Crossref. This facilitates unique identification and citation of the articles within the academic community.
Digital Preservation Networks: CYTA benefits from digital preservation services provided by the PKP Preservation Network. The journal's archives are stored using LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), a system developed by Stanford University Libraries, ensuring a permanent and secure archive.
CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): In addition to LOCKSS, CYTA's content is also preserved through the CLOCKSS network. CLOCKSS is a global dark archive that provides a robust backup and recovery service, further safeguarding the journal's content against loss.
Open Access Policy: CYTA follows an open-access policy, meaning that its content is freely available to all users without any charges for access or downloads. This policy promotes knowledge sharing and broad dissemination of the journal's content.
Author Self-Archiving: Authors are encouraged to self-archive their articles on various platforms of their choice, such as personal websites, institutional repositories, subject-specific repositories, or other appropriate media.
