Focus and Scope

Ciencia y Tecnología Agropecuaria is the institutional journal of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the University of Pamplona, aimed at disseminating information and original works that contribute to expanding knowledge in all areas related to agricultural sciences. It serves as a support for the scientific dissemination of research conducted within the faculty and for various entities interested in disseminating topics related to this area.

Publication Frequency

Publication frequency: Biannual.

Issue 1: January to June.
Issue 2: July to December.

Submission and Publication Fees. Free of charge

Ciencia y Tecnología Agropecuaria is an Open Access publication that does not charge any fees for the arbitration and publication process, including review, formatting, printing, and distribution (APCs). As an open access journal, no fee is applied for accessing and downloading the journal.

Types of Articles

The journal publishes:

  • Original scientific articles Brief communications
  • Technical notes
  • Case presentations
  • Reviews (will focus on topics requested by the editorial committee to an expert)
  • Proceedings of scientific events (extended abstracts of congresses and scientific meetings related to the agricultural area).
  • Editorial (the topic to be addressed will be proposed to a specialist by the editorial committee).

These will be submitted for consideration by the Editorial Committee, written in Spanish and/or English, and not published in any other medium or under arbitration or publication process.

Anti-plagiarism

Through the use of Turnitin software, licensed by the University of Pamplona, Ciencia y Tecnología Agropecuaria conducts plagiarism and self-plagiarism analysis to ensure the originality of received manuscripts. The editor of the journal registers the author's document in this online software.

Digital Preservation Policy and Use of Uniform Identifier

Ciencia y Tecnología Agropecuaria, efficiently using the Open Journal System (OJS), ensures the digital preservation of its contents and assigns a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), providing a persistent identifier managed by Crossref. Additionally, the journal benefits from the digital preservation services of the PKP Preservation Network, being stored in the LOCKSS system developed by the Stanford University Library. This guarantees a permanent and secure archive for the journal.

Currently, Ciencia y Tecnología Agropecuaria is supported by the Open Journal Systems 3.3.0.11 platform. All articles published in the journal use DOI as uniform resource identifiers, which are registered in the OJS.

Interoperability Protocol

The journal incorporates interoperability protocols, such as OAI-PMH (Open Archive Initiative-Protocol for Metadata Harvesting), allowing its contents to be collected by other distribution systems, such as digital repositories and harvesters.

Ownership and Management

The University of Pamplona is the publishing entity that, through budget allocations for periodical publications, sponsors the journal under the responsibility of the Vice Presidency of Research.
