If your manuscript includes images and tables, you must attach them separately in a RAR file. Ensure that these images and tables maintain optimal resolution to guarantee quality reproduction. Additionally, name them according to their order of appearance (for example, Figure 1, Table 1). This procedure will streamline the editorial process and ensure optimal visual presentation in the final publication.
It is requested that citations and references be made using a bibliographic manager, such as Mendeley or Zotero, or the Word reference tool. Additionally, a file with the references in BibTeX format or another format recognized by the mentioned bibliographic managers must be provided. This ensures a more rigorous bibliographic review and facilitates the correct management and verification of the sources used.
The Journal of Advanced Colombian Technologies (RCTA) uses Turnitin to check manuscript similarity, valuing originality and academic integrity. Authors must ensure that their work meets established criteria, maintaining similarity below 17%. Before submitting their manuscript, it is crucial to thoroughly review to avoid unwanted similarities and properly use citations and bibliographic references. Authors are advised to use text verification tools for a preliminary review. During the editorial process, Turnitin reports are reviewed, and manuscripts with more than 17% similarity will be evaluated in detail.
