This paper presents the design and implementation of an active disturbance rejection controller (LADRC) in a hydraulic pumping process that has dead time to control the process flow and reject external disturbances. For this purpose, a tuning rule based on the LADRC was established and its effectiveness was evaluated using an industrial process module which has flow sensor, pressure sensor, temperature sensor, PLC S7-1500 and an HMI, in additionComparisons of responseto disturbances were madewith industrial controllers such as: PI-SIMC and PI-AMIGO, thus demonstrating that this controller and the established tuning rule react efficiently before disturbances in a first order system plus dead time.
