The aim of this research is to determine the epidemiological profile of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome who are treated at the Erasmo Meoz University Hospital in the municipality of Cúcuta, Colombia, between 2018 and 2022. To achieve this objective, a cross-sectional, descriptive, and observational epidemiological study was conducted, seeking to determine the epidemiological profile of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome treated at this hospital, as well as the most frequent comorbidities and complications present in this patient population. The analysis of the results shows that the most affected age group is women between 20 and 24 years old (30.2%), and the most common comorbidity is obesity (20.8%). Among the patients treated, 67% were Colombian and 33% Venezuelan, who most frequently consulted for pelvic pain, and the majority were treated with combined oral contraceptives.
