Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- Edit the article using the Bistua template (Word or Latex). If you do not use the template, you must ensure that the manuscript is edited with 1.5 point spacing; 12 point font size; use italics instead of underlining (except in URL addresses), and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed in the appropriate places in the text, rather than at the end. The structure of the article must contain Title in Spanish and English, summary, abstract, introduction, method and materials, results and discussion, conclusions, references.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- In the "COMMENTS FOR THE EDITOR" field, I entered information from three (3) possible peer reviewers (FULL NAME, EDUCATION, EMAIL CONTACT, INSTITUTIONAL AFFILIATION.) and that they are not affiliated with the authors' institution.

Reviewer Commitments:
- Evaluate only articles within your area of expertise, always with the utmost objectivity.
- Article assessment should be constructive and expressed using appropriate and respectful language. The goal is to always help authors improve their articles.
- Maintain anonymity. Articles are confidential and should not be shown to anyone, not even to seek advice or opinions from other expert colleagues.
- Comments to the Editor and those directed at the authors should be consistent. If a rejection is recommended to the Editor, this should also be reflected or implied in the comments to the authors, to avoid discrepancies between the decision communicated to the authors and the comments provided.
- Timeliness in delivering evaluations. BISTUA adheres to tight evaluation and publication timelines; respecting these timelines is necessary for the smooth functioning of the journal.

Términos de derechos de autor que deben ser aceptados durante el envío del manuscrito: "El suscrito autor corresponsal del artículo sometido, confirmo a ustedes Revista BISTUA, con la autorización de todos los autores incluidos en el manuscrito, que aceptamos las condiciones de arbitraje y de su posible publicación. Declaramos que el trabajo es original, que poseemos todos los derechos patrimoniales de autor, permisos de uso de información tomada de otras fuentes, que el manuscrito no ha sido publicado, que no está siendo ni será sometido a otro medio de publicación durante el proceso de arbitraje, y que aceptamos no retirar el artículo si después de la fase de evaluación es aceptado para publicación en BISTUA, que de haber correcciones estas serán atendidas en su totalidad.
Ante una eventual aceptación del artículo, los autores suscritos en el manuscrito transferimos los derechos de autor a BISTUA Revista de la Facultad de Ciencias Básicas, Universidad de Pamplona, quien a través del Editor será el responsable de otorgar o no, permisos de reproducción parcial o total del material del artículo publicado en BISTUA, cuando tal material sea utilizado para otros fines diferentes a académicos, presentación en eventos, en libros u otro tipo de material de nuestra autoría. Cualquiera sea la situación de uso del material publicado en BISTUA, se deberá hacer la respectiva cita del artículo tal como se indica en el sitio de la publicación del artículo.
Mediante este documento, los autores cedemos a BISTUA los derechos exclusivos para editar, publicar, reproducir, distribuir, en medios electrónicos o multimedia e incluir el artículo en índices nacionales e internacionales o en bases de datos de cualquier carácter.
En mi calidad de autor corresponsal, manifiesto que los autores del manuscrito aceptamos asumir todos los efectos legales a que diere lugar por reclamaciones de cualquier índole derivados del artículo sometido."
Los Autores conservan los derechos de autor y ceden a la revista Bistua el derecho a la primera edición del trabajo registrado con la licencia Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives internacional de tipo CC-BY-NC-ND. Los Autores pueden establecer por acuerdos independientes y adicionales para la distribución no exclusiva de la versión del artículo publicado en Bistua (Ej: incluirlo en un repositorio institucional o publicarlo en un libro), siempre que indique claramente que se publicó por primera vez en Bistua. Es obligatorio de los autores informar por escrito a la dirección de la revista la celebración de estos acuerdos de distribución del artículo por medios distitntos al sitio web de Bistua.
