En este trabajo se describe la metodología de trabajo, y el desarrollo de la ingeniería de detalle de un proyecto de Ecopetrol S. A. para aumentar la capacidad de bombeo y transporte de hidrocarburos en un poliducto, teniendo en cuenta los requerimientos y consideraciones de características del proceso, tecnologías, áreas y distribución de equipos, y se expresan los resultados e impactos obtenidos de este trabajo (Caso de estudio: Estación Pozos Colorados – Magdalena, Colombia).
