Abstract

This work proposes the design and construction of a three-dimensional reconstruction system based on fringe projection. The system is composed of a 752x480 pixels CMOS color camera and a DellM115HD mini-videobeam with LED illumination, these devices are located in triangulation configuration. An interface was developed in Matlab that controls the videobeam and the camera, which allows the capture of the images of the fringes projected on the sample automatically.  In addition, some 3D reconstruction algorithms were implemented, such as: Phase Shifting (3, 4 and 5 images) and the Fourier transform phase analysis algorithm. In this work, a comparative analysis of accuracy and resolution of the methods is made, as well as advantages and disadvantages. Finally, reconstructions of various objects by the different algorithms implemented are presented.
