Instructions for Submitting a Manuscript

Before submitting your manuscript, it is essential that authors thoroughly review whether the content of their article aligns with the journal's thematic areas and editorial orientation. Additionally, ensure that the manuscript is original and unpublished, meaning it has not been previously published nor is it being considered simultaneously by another journal or publisher.

Step 1: Manuscript Preparation

  • Authors interested in submitting their work must use the formats provided by the journal.
  • The manuscript should be submitted in both Spanish and English to facilitate the review and publication process.

Step 2: Author Information

  • In the author format, complete the personal information fields for each author: first name, last name, nationality, country of birth, date of birth, type and number of identification document, institutional affiliation, education level, phone/mobile number, email (institutional and/or personal), and ORCID link.
  • It is crucial to provide this information for each author of the scientific document. If an ORCID profile is not available, it is encouraged to create one.
  • Provide detailed information about the associated research using the specific format. Include fields such as project name, objective, abstract, project type, start and end dates, justification, needs description, impact, goals, duration, total project value, and total executed value.

Step 3: Letter of License and Conflict of Interest Statement

Authors should send, in digital format, the Letter of License and Declaration of Conflict of Interest duly signed by all co-authors of the manuscript.

In case the article includes images or tables, these should be attached in individual files in PNG format, with an optimal resolution that guarantees an adequate reproduction quality. It is important to name them according to their order of appearance in the text (for example: Figure 1, Table 1), which will optimize the editorial process and ensure a coherent visual presentation in the final publication.

Citations and references should be prepared according to APA standards (latest edition) or by using the Microsoft Word reference management tool. This practice contributes to a more accurate bibliographic review and facilitates the validation of the sources used.

The journal Investigación y Praxis en Ciencias Sociales uses Turnitin software for the detection of textual similarity, in order to guarantee the originality and academic integrity of the papers received. A maximum similarity threshold of 17% is established. Therefore, authors are encouraged to thoroughly review the manuscript before submitting it, paying special attention to the proper use of citations and references. The use of text verification tools is recommended for a preliminary review.

During the editorial process, the reports generated by Turnitin will be carefully evaluated. Manuscripts that exceed the allowed percentage of similarity will be subject to detailed analysis and may be rejected if they do not meet the ethical and academic standards established by the journal.
