Step 1: Manuscript Preparation
- Authors interested in submitting their work must use the templates provided by the journal.
Step 2: Author Information
- In the author form, complete all required fields for each author: full name, nationality, country of birth, date of birth, type and number of identification document, institutional affiliation, academic level, phone number, email (institutional and/or personal), and ORCID link.
- It is essential to provide this information for every author of the scientific document. If an ORCID profile is not available, authors are encouraged to create one.
- Provide detailed information about the research project associated with the article using the designated form. Include project name, objective, abstract, project type, start and end dates, justification, description of needs, impact, goals, duration, total project value, and executed project value.
- All manuscripts with two or more authors must include, before the references, a paragraph describing each author’s specific contribution according to the CRediT taxonomy. The corresponding author is responsible for recording and confirming these contributions. The editorial team assumes all authors have reviewed and approved their participation. The taxonomy defines 14 author contribution roles.
Step 3: Copyright and Publication License Declaration
- Submit the signed Copyright and Publication License Declaration in digital format, signed by all authors.
If your manuscript includes images or tables, attach them separately in a compressed (RAR) file. Ensure that all figures and tables have optimal resolution for publication quality and name them according to their order of appearance (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1). This process facilitates editorial handling and ensures high-quality visual presentation in the final publication.
Citations and references must be managed using a reference manager such as Mendeley or Zotero, or with Word’s reference tool. Additionally, provide a file containing references in BibTeX or another recognized format. This ensures accurate bibliographic verification and facilitates proper reference management.
The Revista Ciencia y Tecnología Agropecuaria uses Turnitin to verify manuscript similarity, ensuring originality and academic integrity. Authors must ensure their work meets the journal’s standards, maintaining a similarity index below 17%. Before submission, manuscripts should be thoroughly reviewed to avoid unintended similarity and ensure proper citation and referencing. Authors are encouraged to use text-checking tools for preliminary verification. During the editorial process, Turnitin reports are reviewed, and manuscripts with over 17% similarity are subject to detailed evaluation.
The editorial committee will notify the author of the manuscript’s status and provide the reviewers’ comments for possible publication.
