PROTOCOL FOR OBTAINING A BIOCOMPOSITE FROM COFFEE WASTE GENERATED IN VENECIA (CUNDINAMARCA)
Keywords:

The sidewalk of "El Diamante" (Venicia, Cundinamarca), is mainly dedicated to the production of coffee. This activity generates a varied amount of waste, which constitutes a potential source of environmental contamination and a health risk for the population. The aim of this work was to establish, based on a systematic review, a protocol for obtaining a biocomposite from coffee cherry waste generated in the sidewalk of "El Diamante". The protocol was established considering the principles of green chemistry. Initially, a diagnostic visit was made to the area, identifying the inadequate disposal of solid waste generated during coffee processing. The precariousness of housing in the sector was also highlighted. Based on this, a systemic review of scientific literature was carried out, which made it possible to develop an integrated protocol for obtaining the biocomposte. The index of green chemistry estimated for the protocol was 80%, which represents a very good green approach. It is concluded that the established protocol can be a plausible strategy for the use of coffee waste generated, useful for the development of a biocomposite with potential application as concrete reinforcement for the houses of the area, and whose application fulfills most of the green chemistry postulates.
