Intersectoral work as a contribution of academia to the health of the territories

Abstract

This article aims to present an overview of intersectoral work experiences and their significant contribution to health outcomes in territories, particularly when led or supported by academia. Practical examples are provided at the micro (local), meso (national), and macro (global) levels. The methodology employed was a systematic review of scientific literature focused on intersectoral work experiences and approaches in health, with special emphasis on the role of academia as a key actor in the development of territorial interventions. Preliminary results demonstrate that intersectoral work is more effective when there is adequate coordination between levels
