Ethical Standards for Publication

The journal Engineering Sustainability and Society promotes good editorial practices based on international standards of scientific ethics, aligned with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) , as well as international editorial guidelines for academic publishing.

General Principles

  • All manuscripts are evaluated according to their scientific merit, originality, and academic contribution.
  • The journal uses the Turnitin tool for similarity verification and plagiarism detection.
  • Submitted articles must be original, unpublished, and not simultaneously under review by other journals.
  • All authors must approve the submission and publication of the manuscript.
  • The editorial process is conducted under principles of confidentiality, impartiality, and transparency.

Research Integrity

The journal rejects any form of research misconduct, including:
  • Fabrication or falsification of data.
  • Inappropriate image manipulation.

Editorial Standards
