Abstract

The War on Terror has been an event that has marked history in various ways, generating consequences and changes throughout life. On the other hand, the different conflicts between powers seeking to impose their hegemony and dominion in territories have also played a significant role. It can be affirmed that the first event that gave rise to this episode was the attack on the Twin Towers, which took the United States by surprise, being considered one of the most powerful military and intelligence powers. It is worth noting that the United States conducted its respective investigations until finding the culprits, and consequently, a series of studies were initiated on this event. In the end, it was concluded that it had been led and caused by Osama Bin Laden, the leader of an Islamist terrorist group known as Al Qaeda, one of the most influential terrorist organizations in history.
