About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Engineering, Sustainability, and Society is an academic, interdisciplinary scientific journal aimed at integrating the principles of engineering, environmental sustainability, and social sciences to address major sustainable development challenges. Its main objective is to disseminate innovative and technically feasible solutions that, besides being economically viable, contribute to social well-being and respect for the natural environment.

Published annually, the journal serves as a reference platform for the exchange of knowledge among researchers, academics, and professionals from different fields, both nationally and internationally. In a global context that demands comprehensive responses to environmental, social, and technological issues, the journal promotes collaborative approaches that strengthen the relationship between science, technology, and society.

The journal accepts original research manuscripts, critical state-of-the-art reviews, and academic reflections on emerging topics such as:

  • Engineering applied to sustainability
  • Technological innovation with social impact
  • Circular economy
  • Corporate social responsibility
  • Energy transition and climate change, among others

Articles must be submitted using the journal's official template and will undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure their scientific quality, originality, and thematic relevance.

Under the direction of Ph.D. Francisco Raúl Arencibia Pardo and managed by the Vice-Rectory for Research of the University of Pamplona, the journal Engineering, Sustainability, and Society consolidates itself as a platform for knowledge dissemination, inter-institutional collaboration, and the strengthening of the link between academia, the productive sector, and society, aiming for a fairer, more inclusive, and sustainable future.
