Abstract

Introduction: This research explored some of the problems faced by people with disabilities, a population that has received little attention in the field of psychology. Therefore, the importance lies in delving deeper into the approach to issues such as the factors that influence low self-esteem and thus providing psychological solutions to these situations that occur in this vulnerable population, especially those of short stature, among members of the Small Giants Association of Colombia. Likewise, it aims to guide those with low self-esteem through the use of a website, workshops, counseling, conferences and consultations, etc., that can improve their quality of life. Likewise, it aims to make a contribution to society, starting from the family, which is the fundamental basis from which the human being is formed, since it is the family that influences the construction of personality and self-esteem, promoting the satisfaction of the person's needs, according to Maslow's theory. The goal is also to help the target population facilitate their inclusion in society and for society to welcome them as part of it, seeing them as people capable of serving and contributing to the development of communities and the country in various areas. This research was conducted using Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), understood as a set of resources for the compilation, processing, storage, and transmission of information, given that the population is located in different cities across the country.
