Abstract

Currently, many challenges are evidenced at the level of environmental crises and all natural disasters that are increasingly experienced, bringing with them changes in the social but also technological context; that is why, terms such as resilience arise as a key concept that delves into multiple disciplines. The purpose of this research is to inquire about resilience from education, engineering and environmental sustainability, emphasized from the university area. Resilience involves the capacity of ecosystems to achieve significant impacts, to have essential services and to advance in the face of the challenges that climate change may present, having a conservation and sustainable use of resources. Therefore, resilience in the field of education should always be implemented in order to create multiple strategies and approaches that are both practical and pedagogical to promote adaptability to the adversities that may arise, so that practices should be directed with creativity, community participation and emotional support, in order to transform from higher education institutions spaces that help students to face any kind of challenges at personal, professional and social level.
