The creation of a new construction material, called eco-brick, inspired by the traditional cement brick, is proposed. For this, a marginal field not used in brick manufacturing is employed. Cement is used as a commercial additive, shredded recycling precursor material (paper, cardboard) is used as a reinforcing additive, and rice husk ash is used to partially replace the commercial additive. The results are satisfactory in compression tests and meet ecological and sustainable criteria.
