The following article aims to present the data obtained from the evaluation of the cleaning system in its four components, which are: sweeping and cleaning of public areas, collection, transport, and final disposal of urban solid waste generated in the municipality of Pamplona, department of Norte de Santander, which disposes of its municipal solid waste in the regional landfill La Cortada, managed by the company EMPOPAMPLONA S.A. E.S.P., taking into account compliance with current environmental regulations for the provision of cleaning services. In addition, alternatives are presented for improving the cleaning system in compliance with regulations and to fully meet what is stipulated in the current PGIRS.
