About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The Colombian Journal of Advanced Technologies aims to disseminate high-impact research in advanced technologies, covering a wide range of disciplines, including but not limited to Telecommunications, Control and Automation, Mechatronics, Operations Research, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Power Electronics, Electronic Devices and Circuits, Digital Signal Processing, Microelectronics, Bioengineering, Software Engineering and Simulation, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology Management, and Technologies Applied to Teaching Improvement. The journal is oriented to become a reference channel for the exchange and development of scientific knowledge, addressing strategic areas for the advancement of engineering and technology.
Published biannually with national and international coverage, the journal provides a space for the exchange of knowledge among academics and researchers from various contexts and sectors. Its goal is not only to disseminate technological advances but also to foster inter-institutional collaboration, attracting contributions from researchers with ties to academia and industry globally.
In addition to original research articles, the journal will also publish review articles that examine the state of the art, identify emerging trends, and suggest future directions in developing fields. Submitted manuscripts must be research, review, or reflective works, and they should be submitted in both Spanish and English for subsequent peer review.

Fees for Submission and Publication of Texts. Gratuitousness
The Colombian Journal of Advanced Technologies (RCTA) is an Open Access publication that does not charge any fees for the arbitration and publication process, including review, layout, printing, and distribution (APCs). As an open-access journal, no fee is applied for accessing and downloading the journal.
Publishing Institution
Revista Colombiana de Tecnologías de Avanzada (RCTA) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Universidad de Pamplona, Colombia, under the responsibility of the Vice-Rector's Office for Research. The Universidad de Pamplona provides the institutional support, technological infrastructure, administrative services, and financial resources necessary to ensure the continuity and long-term sustainability of the journal, including the management of the editorial platform, technological services, and the preservation of its scholarly content.
