Abstract

Society in recent times has faced an unusual situation as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic, which has led to decisions from government entities reflected in confinement and temporary quarantine measures so that the general population can stay home. From this situation, the normal development of activities has required emerging alternatives such as distance education, virtual education and teleworking in order to ensure continuity of institutional processes. Therefore, this research focuses on diagnosing strengths and weaknesses for decision making based on educational processes derived from the appropriation of digital technologies in the academic and administrative activities of the Francisco de Paula Santander de Ocana University. This research is conducted under a mixed paradigm, combining a quantitative approach with an ethnographic complementary component as a qualitative method, with the objective of ensuring scientific rigor, objectivity and specificity in the appropriation of digital technologies for educational processes.
