Statement of Ethics and Malpractice

Section I: Publication

1. By submitting an article to the CIE Journal: Knowledge, Research, and Education, the author agrees to this statement of publication ethics and malpractice.

2. All articles are subject to a peer review process by at least two international reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.

3. The criteria considered during the review process include quality, relevance, originality, innovation, pertinence, and language.

4. The possible decisions made by the RCTA Editorial Board are: acceptance, acceptance with revisions, or rejection.

5. There is no guarantee that a reviewed article will be accepted.

6. Articles will not be rejected without being reviewed.

Section II: Authorship

1. All articles submitted to the CIE Journal: Knowledge, Research, and Education must include a relevant list of references.

2. The author must disclose any financial support received from institutions for the work carried out.

3. The titles of all articles must be original. Plagiarism in any form and fraudulent data are unacceptable.

4. CIE: Knowledge, Research, and Education does not publish articles that contain material identical to that published in another journal.

Section III: Authors' Responsibilities

1. Authors must ensure that: their articles are original; their work has not been previously published elsewhere; all sources used in creating their work are identified; all data in the documents are real and authentic; all authors (in case of co-authorship) have made significant contributions to the research.

2. Authors are also required to:

  • Participate in the peer review process;
  • Provide retractions or corrections of errors;
  • Report any errors they discover in their published articles.

3. Authors must notify the Editors of any conflicts of interest.

Section IV: Reviewers' Responsibilities

1. Reviews must be conducted objectively, fairly, and without personal criticism of the author.

2. Comments on the work must be treated confidentially.

3. Reviewers must:

  • Be academically qualified to review the article;
  • Have no conflicts of interest regarding the research, any of the authors, sponsors, companies, or institutions;
  • Express their views clearly, with supporting arguments;
  • Identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and/or any substantial similarity between the manuscript under consideration and other published work.

Section V: Editors' Responsibilities

1. Editors have full responsibility and authority to accept or reject an article.

2. Editors are responsible for the content and overall quality of the publication.

3. Editors must:

  • Have no conflicts of interest with respect to articles they accept or reject;
  • Ensure the quality of the published works;
  • Only accept a paper when reasonably certain of its integrity;
  • Preserve the anonymity of reviewers;
  • Ensure that all published documents comply with internationally accepted ethical guidelines;
  • Promote the publication of corrections or retractions when errors are found.

4. The Editor-in-Chief of the CIE Journal: Knowledge, Research, and Education has the authority to make final decisions on the acceptance or rejection of a submitted manuscript after reviewing comments and consulting with other members of the editorial board when appropriate.

The Editor-in-Chief must not exercise prejudice against authors and must have no conflicts of interest regarding the documents being reviewed.

Section VI: Publication Ethics

The Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board members, and International Advisory Board members of the CIE Journal: Knowledge, Research, and Education commit to:

  • Safeguarding publication ethics;
  • Maintaining high standards of intellectual and scientific rigor, free from commercial or business influences;
  • Protecting and enhancing the peer review process;
  • Publishing corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies when necessary;
  • Working closely with other editors;
  • Ensuring that plagiarism and fraudulent data are not tolerated.
