Processes of phonoaudiological intervention in children with hearing aids.

Abstract

INTRODUCTION: The present research aims to provide information on the processes of speech therapy intervention in children with hearing aids METHODS: The organization of the questions followed the PICO question framework and the selection of articles was carried out with the PRISMA methodology, taking into account the inclusion and exclusion criteria RESULTS: The articles were subjected to a selection, screening and inclusion process following the PRISMA flowchart, resulting in a number of articles that answered the research questions. ANALYSIS AND DISCUSSION: Speech therapy interventions should be generated promptly taking into account the type of loss and prosthesis selected, in this way the speech therapist will identify the auditory skills presented by the child and will determine the therapeutic intervention process for acoustic habilitation and rehabilitation. CONCLUSIONS: Based on this research, a therapeutic strategy should be proposed that makes visible the role played by adult caregivers, and the need to evaluate the development for the realization of interventions; whose objective is to potentiate the communicative skills presented by this population.
