The present study shows the result obtained after the characterization and quantification of solid waste carried out in the municipality of Pamplona, N de S, Colombia. In addition, alternatives for their reuse and recycling are presented, thus contributing to the development of an integrated waste management system in the municipality, based on the principles promoted within the principles of sustainable development.
