STRUCTURE OF THE ARTICLES
ARTICLE HEADER

1.1. Title.
This should clearly and precisely describe the content of the article so that the reader can easily identify the subject. It must not exceed fifteen (15) words.

1.2. Author information.
A maximum of three (3) authors per article is allowed. It is essential to include the full names and surnames of the author(s), in the order in which they should appear, along with their academic background and institutional affiliation. The email address and ORCID code of each author must also be provided.
In an additional file, include a summary of the updated curriculum vitae that also contains address, city, telephone number, email, nationality, and place of origin (municipality).

1.3. Origin of the article.
It must be specified whether the article is the result of research, a thesis, etc. If it results from research, the following should be indicated: project title, executing institution, project phase, start and end dates.

1.4. Abstract in Spanish and English
The abstract should explain the objectives, methodology, and main conclusions of the work (maximum 100 words). It must include:

A brief description of the object of study, objectives, or purposes of the research.

A short review of the theories supporting the research.

Methodological aspects (type of research, procedures used, techniques, and instruments) and general results.

Keywords in Spanish and English (between 5 and 6 words).

TYPES AND FORMAT OF ARTICLES

Articles accepted by the journal Ingeniería Sostenibilidad, Sociedad will follow one of the following structures: scientific or technological research articles, research articles, and review articles.

In the general structure of an article undergoing peer review, the writing will be taken into account; it must be written in the third person. It is recommended to use accent marks even in capital letters. Expressions in other languages should be written in italics. The following are the sections that should appear in the structure of each type of article:

Scientific or Technological Research Articles:
Introduction, theoretical framework, methodology, results and discussion, conclusions, and references — with no fewer than 25 bibliographic citations, listed at the end of the work in alphabetical order.

Research Articles:
Introduction, development, final considerations, and references — with no fewer than 25 bibliographic citations, listed at the end of the work in alphabetical order.

Review Articles:
Introduction, theoretical development, and references — with no fewer than 25 bibliographic citations, listed at the end of the work in alphabetical order.

PRESENTATION FORMAT

The presentation format for articles must meet the following specifications:

Paper size: Letter (21.5 x 28 cm).

Font: Arial, size 12.

Line spacing: 1.5.

Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides (right, left, top, and bottom).

Word processor: Microsoft Word.

Figures and tables must be numbered consecutively and include a title above each one. When referenced in the text, their relation to the written content must be coherent. Drawings, graphs, and tables should be included within the body of the text. Figures and graphs must cite the original source and include written permission from the copyright holder for reproduction.
The number of figures and tables should not exceed two pages in the presentation of results.

Referencing and citation standards: APA style.

All bibliographic references must be presented with a hanging indent and listed alphabetically.
All citations made in the text must appear in the reference list.
