Occupational Therapy is essential to address the
educational challenges of students with attention
and anxiety disorders. This study focuses on a 10
year-old student with a diagnosis of Activity and
Attention Disturbance and Anxiety Disorder. A
comprehensive assessment tool is used to
examine your occupational participation in motor,
sensory, cognitive, and psychosocial areas. The
evaluation is carried out using the "Occupational
Therapy Evaluation Format for the Education
area", which allows analyzing various student
skills. Gross and fine motor skills, visual-motor
coordination, communication skills, and visual
perceptual and spatial abilities are observed.
Cognitive abilities are also evaluated, especially
attention, memory, and participation in academic
activities. As relevant results, it is evident that the
student shows good motor skills and visual-motor
coordination, and is independent in activities of
daily living. However, he presents difficulties in
attention, memory and solving mathematical
problems. Additionally, he faces challenges
completing academic tasks due to lack of
concentration and difficulty remembering
information. In this sense, it is concluded that
despite his strengths in daily activities, the
student's cognitive difficulties require immediate
attention. Implementing Universal Design for
Learning (UDA) strategies and strengthening
social and family support are key to improving
their participation and academic performance.
Collaboration with the family can optimize their
comprehensive and academic development.
