The Cuidado y Ocupación Humana Journal promotes open access and the responsible dissemination of scientific knowledge in the field of health. In accordance with Colombian legislation and international standards, the following copyright and publication licensing policy is established.
1. Right of first publication
By submitting a manuscript, authors grant the Cuidado y Ocupación Humana Journal the right of first publication over the accepted and edited version of the article, authorizing its editing, formatting, and dissemination through the journal’s official channels.
2. Limited transfer of economic rights
Authors grant the journal a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, and perpetual license solely for the following purposes:
- Publishing the article in print and digital formats.
- Reproducing it in repositories, databases, and academic indexes.
- Distributing and publicly communicating it in scientific media.
- Archiving and preserving the published version in institutional repositories.
This transfer is limited to the purposes above and does not assign full economic ownership to the journal nor restricts authors from making further use of their work.
3. Commercial rights and reuse
The journal does not claim exclusive commercial rights over the articles. Authors retain the ability to grant commercial licenses, publish derivative versions, or include the content in other works, provided that the original publication in this journal is cited.
4. Moral rights
Authors retain all their moral rights (authorship, integrity, and right to revision), and the journal commits to respecting these rights in all reproductions and editions.
5. Originality and responsibility
By submitting the manuscript, authors declare that the work is original, unpublished, and not under review by another journal. They also assume responsibility for plagiarism, third-party claims, and authorship disputes.
6. Dissemination and preservation
The journal reserves the right to preserve and disseminate the articles in institutional repositories, indexes, and national or international databases, always respecting the integrity and authorship of the content.
7. Disclaimer
The opinions and conclusions expressed in the articles are the sole responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the institutional position of the journal or the University of Pamplona.
