INTRODUCTION: The objective of this work is to build reference measurements for the speech diadochokinetic in colombian northeast from a population of college students. METHODS: Cross-sectional study , the selection of the population was stratified. and randomized. The to-tal number of participants was 35, 17 women and 18 men. Acoustic sampled was made in a soundproof cabin using a unidirectional microphone by sillabic repetion of /pa/, /ta/, /ka/ and /pataka/. The data received analysis of central tendency and canonical correlation . RESULTS: The baseline data for AMR were: / pa /: 6.445 to 7.538; / ta /: 6.880 to 7.546; and / ka /: 6.056 to 6.538 repetitions per second. While for SMR / pataka / was 7 repetitions per second. ANALYSIS AND DISCUSSION: Significant differences between AMR reported by Fletcher in 1972 for the English language and the results found in the study, however, for SMR no difference was found. Age, gender and origin reported no correlation on AMR or SMR. CONCLUSIONS: It is necessary to increase the sample size to study the effects of regional coarticulation effects of Colombian panish on AMR and SMR. It is necessary to develop studies to establish the effects of aging on AMR and SMR for the Colombian population.
