Abstract

Productivity is a critical factor in the sustainability of emerging ventures, especially in local contexts where access to financial, technological, and management resources is limited. In Colombia, the National Learning Service (SENA) Entrepreneurship Fund has established itself as a tool for supporting entrepreneurship, offering seed capital and technical support. However, persistent gaps in productivity indicators require the formulation of more effective strategies to ensure the consolidation and permanence of business initiatives in the market. This article analyzes strategic productivity models applicable to ventures supported by the Fondo Emprender in Barrancabermeja, Santander, with the aim of designing strategies to strengthen their performance. To this end, it characterizes the current status of projects underway, identifies processes that affect their productivity, and proposes actions aimed at improving their sustainability and competitiveness. The methodology used is a mixed approach, with a documentary analysis and a descriptive study of cases linked to the Entrepreneurship Fund in the region. The results show that the main difficulties faced by start-ups are related to financial management, technological innovation, and coordination with business support networks. Consequently, strategies focused on specialized training, process digitization, the implementation of management indicators, and the strengthening of inter-institutional alliances are proposed. The contribution of this research lies in the proposal of a contextualized strategic model that contributes to improving the productivity of emerging enterprises in local settings.
