Estudio de caso de seudosecciones PT construidas en el sistema MnNCKFMASH (MnO-Na2O-CaO-K2O-FeO-MgO-Al2O3-SiO2-H2O) para rocas metapelíticas en la zona de granate de la Formación Silgará, en el Macizo de Santander suroccidental (Colombia)

Resumen

Se evaluaron seudosecciones PT construidas en el sistema MnNCKFMASH (MnO-Na2O-CaO-K2O-FeO-MgO-Al2O3-SiO2-H2O) basadas en la química de la roca total y datos de química mineral de rocas metapelíticas en la zona de granate de la Formación Silgará, en el Macizo de Santander suroccidental (Colombia). Esto se hizo mediante la aplicación de programas informáticos como THERIAK/DOMINO, GTB y GIBBS. Estas seudosecciones pueden utilizarse para estimar las condiciones PT máximas del metamorfismo y limitar partes de las trayectorias PT metamórficas. Las condiciones PT previamente publicadas (495-518 °C y 4.4-5.5 kbar en la zona de granate) se confirman mediante las seudosecciones resultantes en el sistema MnNCKFMASH, con granate + feldespato potásico + biotita + moscovita + cuarzo como ensamblaje mineral estable. Varias reacciones minerales, como la formación de clorita a partir de biotita y granate, sericita a partir de plagioclasa, y clorita+sericita a partir de estaurolita, revelan un metamorfismo retrogrado, y la formación de estas fases hidratadas probablemente tuvo lugar durante la descompresión en condiciones PT más bajas en presencia de cantidades elevadas de H2O.
