The close link between soil types, parent materials, and water resource distribution in the Ulaga stream basin is demonstrated through flow assessments, infiltration analysis, and analysis of the soil types recognized in the area. The continuous loss of flow due to poor management, bad agricultural practices, privatization by resource owners, sometimes leaving no minimum ecological flows, and the continuous deterioration of primary vegetation cover in the area are a wake-up call for the region. Unless conservation and educational policies for the territory are implemented, irreversible damage to water availability for the area's inhabitants is imminent.
