The reinterpretation and redignification of the body in school

The purpose of this article is to present a critical reflection on the re-signification and re-dignification of the body through the identification and description of the bodily aesthetics of young people in school.
Therefore, the population under study was the community of the Fe y Alegría las Américas Educational Institution in the city of Cartagena, and for the purposes of population delimitation, a significant sample of 10th and 11th graders was used.
Consequently, the methodological design was approached through observation, based on two moments: participant observation and guided observation. This allowed us to identify and describe the bodily expressions with which students relate to each other in the school context, as well as the need to adopt educational and pedagogical positions that result in a change in traditional and normative education through the recognition of the bodily aesthetics of the subjects in training.
